Auld Lang Syne

Maybe it hadn’t been a good idea to go out on New Year’s Eve without a date. Oh, there had been an overture or two from a couple of men but not from anyone hot enough to justify the money spent on her little black dress. The dress embraced her curves, was about mid-thigh in length, with a neckline low in front, and even lower in back. She had gathered up her auburn hair in a loose knot with teasing tendrils. So far, all it yielded was two sore feet in her ridiculous four inch heels. Money down the drain on those suckers too.

Tina sipped her third cocktail of the night but liquor hadn’t alleviated her loneliness. She sighed. Perhaps it was time to go home while she could still drive. She glanced at her watch. If she left now, she could get home to watch the New Year roll in from the comfort of her own, albeit solitary, bed.

At least she hadn’t spent money on a hotel room in anticipation of hooking up with someone.

Tina headed for the elevator. No one would even know she was gone. She stabbed at the down button – waited – punched it again. After what seemed an eternity, she heard the sound of the elevator arriving. Ding. The doors slid open and a tall man stepped out.

Josh. Ex-boyfriend. Drop-dead gorgeous. Irritatingly sexy.

“Hey, Tina babe.” Josh raised an eyebrow. “Fancy meeting you here.”

“That would be ex-babe to you, in case you have forgotten.”

“It doesn’t make you any less a babe though, Tina.” His grin started slow and wicked as if he remembered the hot times between them. Then he winked.

Why did he still have the ability to make her go wobbly in the knees? Tina hated to admit it but he still looked damn good. His starched white shirt with loosened tie and rolled up sleeves were in stark contrast to his dark good looks. His woodsy cologne tantalized her senses, beckoned her down memory lane. She knew that scent. Recollected too, the feel and taste of him.

Tina shook her head to dispel the memories. She stepped past Josh and entered the elevator.

“Wait, don’t leave. I just got here.” He took her hand and pulled her out before the doors shut. He held her at arm’s length.

“Well, look at you.” His eyes moved up and down her body, lingering on her ample breasts and God-given hips. “You look absolutely ravishing tonight.” He twirled her around. “Oh, yes, mouth-watering, good enough to eat.”

He furrowed his brows in puzzlement. “Why did we break up anyway? I must have been out of my mind.”

Tina removed her hand from his grasp. “You could say that—out of your mind and out of your pants.”

“Now, Tina, you know that was just a misunderstanding.” The low timbre of his voice rolled over her like a physical caress. “C’mon, let’s go dance, it’s almost midnight.”

Tina allowed Josh to lead her on to the dance floor. He held her as if she were a fragile piece of china. She snuggled closer, caught up in the moment, relishing being in his arms again.

“I see you are wearing the necklace I gave you.”

Tina almost kicked him for sounding so smug. The necklace was unusual in that it hung down her back, calling attention to her nearly nude spine and rounded derriere. The jewels sparkled and glittered in the colored lights ringing the dance floor.

She shrugged and murmured, “It matched the dress.”

“I love the way the different gems flash and sway as you move.” His low rasp sent liquid heat pouring through her veins. “I like it even better when it’s all you have on.” He punctuated his words by trailing his fingers down her back.

Tina shivered but not from the cold. Her breasts perked up in interest as if jealous of the attention her back was receiving. A familiar warmth pooled deep in her center. Josh’s fingers meandered down her back; stopped to massage the sensitive area just below the back of her dress.

Would he slip his hand underneath? Tina held her breath. Waited. No.

A little purr of contentment escaped her lips as Josh pulled her closer. The evidence of his arousal pressed hard and thick against her groin.

The music stopped. They stepped apart as the crowd counted down the New Year.

“Ten…Nine…Eight…Seven…Six…Five…Four…Three…Two….One…Happy New Year!”

“Happy New Year, baby.” Josh held her head in his palms and kissed her. His lips were firm and warm. He demanded entrance with his tongue as he deepened the kiss.

The band played the time-honored song, Auld Lang Syne, while they kissed.

“Should Old Acquaintance be forgot, and never thought upon;
The flames of Love extinguished, and fully past and gone:
Is thy sweet Heart now grown so cold, that loving Breast of thine;
That thou canst never once reflect on auld lang syne.”

Josh pulled back from the kiss. His eyes riveted on her mouth, then dropped to her exposed cleavage. Her nipples tingled and tightened under his gaze.

“I’ve never forgotten what you look like…naked…skin like honey…mouth like cherries. He leaned closer and whispered, “The little sounds you make when I suck on your tits.”

Tina moaned deep in her throat. She wanted to bare her breasts and offer them to him right then and there.

“Have you been missing me?”

“No,” she panted.

Whatever remnants of resistance Tina might have had dissipated into thin air when he put his arm around her and nibbled on her bare shoulder. Frissons of lust zinged her nipples and headed to the juncture of her thighs. She’d worry about the consequences tomorrow.

His other hand crept to her bottom and lightly fondled her. He tugged her close against him. Oh, god, she was all gooey and melting inside, every nerve crying for his strong hands to grip her buttocks hard and lift her up against his cock. Her legs parted of their own volition. Her breathing slowed and deepened.

He placed her hand on his erection. “I have a room here in the hotel, babe. Come with me. For old time’s sake.”

Tina could only nod her acquiescence. Her entire being hungered for him.

Rather than wait for the elevator, they decided to take the stairs. Once in the unheated stairwell, Josh pressed Tina against the painted cement. The wall was cold against her bare back and her nipples tightened in response. She shivered and arched her back, seeking the warmth to be found against Josh’s chest.

“Are you cold, baby?” Josh moved aside the fabric and bared one of her breasts. “I’ll warm you up.”

His wet tongue traced a circle around her areola; then his hot mouth closed over her nipple. Tina whimpered as a bolt of desire raced through her. Josh reached inside her dress with his right hand and tweaked the straining nipple with his thumb and forefinger. Her insides turned to mush and her knees threatened to buckle. Only his hips pressed against hers kept her upright.

A door slammed above them and footsteps could be heard heading their way.

“Let’s go to your room.” Josh grabbed her hand and they headed down the stairs until they reached his floor.

Tina slipped out of her heels right inside the door. Next to go was her necklace, then her dress. Josh shed his clothes right behind her but stumbled and fell while removing his pants. Laughing, she ran to the bedroom; he caught up with her and they fell on the bed together.

Josh rose on one elbow and pushed the hair from Tina’s face. His hands trailed down to her full breasts. Her nipples were petal pink and erect, begging for his mouth. Tina moaned as he sucked one, then the other. Currents of pleasure raced through her body.
Josh removed her panties, leaving her stockings in place. Her toes captured his attention, then her foot and ankle. He spread her legs wide, running his hands up the smooth nylon to the bare flesh above, and then paused. Tina grinned.

“Do you like my new look, Josh?” Her femininity was as bare as a newborn baby.

“God, babe, that’s hot!”

His hand separated her folds, seeking her wet pink flesh. He lowered his head and followed his fingers with his mouth. Tina arched up off the bed, opening up to him as he licked and sucked her core. She rolled her head from side to side; her hands fisted the bedcovers.

“Oh, oh, don’t stop, babe,” she implored. She was in an erotic trance by now, caring for nothing but her aching need and the delicious pressure of Josh’s tongue. The more Josh licked, the more desperate she became. Her breath came in short, hard pants.

“You’re driving me mad, babe.” Her body shuddered with the promise of the gathering climax. “I need you inside me.”

Josh positioned himself between her legs and drove it home. Her pussy clutched ecstatically at his cock. She felt the vibrations build deep inside. She wanted to be taken by this man. By Josh. Only Josh.

“Now…baby…now,” she entreated.

One more thrust and she threw back her head and cried out in carnal abandon. An orgasm exploded in her as never before. She gasped for breath, her breasts heaved. She quivered as the tremors raced through her.

Josh kept pounding it home, riding her until he groaned and spurted into her depths.

As they lay catching their breaths, Tina sighed in contentment. “It does seem as if our flames have been extinguished for the moment anyway.”

“Speak for yourself, baby,” Josh said as he flipped her over. “I’m just getting started.”
